UNK Staff Members at Bluegold

Since 1906, the Alumni Association has worked to promote communication and interaction among alumni, students, faculty, administrators and friends of the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Serving more than 45,000 active alumni, the Association publishes a biannual magazine, UNK Today; works to develop alumni chapters across the nation; organizes reunions and Homecoming activities; sponsors two student organizations (The Gold Torch Society and Blue Gold Brigade) and coordinates the Distinguished Alumni Awards, Distinguished Young Alumni Awards, the Jim Rundstrom Distinguished Alumni Service Awards, and Athletic Hall of Fame.

Lucas Dart joined the alumni staff in 2008. Dart, who earned a degree in finance in 1997, had served as director of development at the University of Nebraska Foundations' office in Kearney since 2002. Dart has been active in the Kearney Sertoma Club, Leadership Kearney, Kearney Public Schools and Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.
Trish Danburg   Tricia Danburg

Tricia joined the alumni staff in 2015. She earned her agri-business degree in 1994 and has 20 years of marketing and project coordination experience. Danburg is active in the Axtell community and school, is a member of the UNK Gold Torch Society, a Leadership Kearney alumna and former UNK Greek advisor.

Michelle Widger joined alumni in 2004. She had been graphics communication coordinator in charge of UNK Publications and Copy Center. Widger is a Leadership Kearney and Leadership UNK alumna. She graduated from UNK with a bachelor's degree in journalism and advertising in 1990 and serves as a part-time lecturer in the UNK Communications Department.
Toni Meyers   Toni Meyers
Administrative Assistant

Toni Meyers joined the alumni in 2009. She previously worked at the Nebraska Student Union as an assistant in the Director's Office at UNK. She graduated from UNK with a bachelor's degree of science in business administration in 1993.
    Jim Rundstrom
Director Emeritus

Jim Rundstrom joined the UNK staff in 1968. He served as the first chair of the journalism department from 1970 to 1989. Jim became the first full-time executive director of the UNK Alumni Association in 1989 and served until his retirement in 2008. He continues to assist with UNK Today and Athletic Hall of Fame.
