UNK Alumni Association Staff

Since 1906, the Alumni Association has worked to promote communication and interaction among alumni, students, faculty, administrators and friends of the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Serving more than 36,000 active alumni, the Association publishes a newspaper, UNK Today; works to develop alumni chapters across the nation; organizes reunion and Homecoming activities; sponsors Student Alumni Foundation; and coordinates the Distinguished Alumni Award, Distinguished Alumni Service Award, and Athletic Hall of Fame.

Lucas Dart joined the alumni staff in 2008. Dart, who earned a degree in finance in 1997, had served as director of development at the University of Nebraska Foundations' office in Kearney since 2002. Dart has been active in the Kearney Sertoma Club, Leadership Kearney, Kearney Public Schools and Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce.	Jim joined the UNK staff in 1968. He served as the first chair of the Journalism Department from 1970 to 1989. Jim became the first full-time executive director of the UNK Alumni Association in 1989 and served until his retirement in 2008. He continues to assist with UNK Today, Athletic Hall of Fame and Distinguished Alumni Awards.	Michelle joined the alumni staff in 2004. She had been graphics communication coordinator in charge of UNK Publications and Copy Center. Widger is active in her church, Leadership Kearney and Leadership UNK. She graduated from UNK with a bachelor's degree in journalism and advertising in 1990.	Toni joined the alumni in 2009. She previously worked at the Nebraska Student Union as an assistant in the Director's Office at UNK. She graduated from UNK with a bachelor's degree of science in business administration in 1993.
